Evaluation of the outcome in ischemic stroke acute period

Introduction. As a major cause of both temporary and permanent disability, ischemic stroke is the most common type cerebrovascular accident (CVA).
 Objective. To assess fatal outcome probability in acute period stroke.
 Materials methods. We performed post-hoc analysis patients with at Neurology Department Ufa Emergency Hospital, Republic Bashkortostan, Russian Federation. The included data from randomly selected medical records 31 outcomes 55 discharged favorable outcomes.
 Results. were significantly (p 0.001) older, more severe strokes higher prevalence disorders consciousness, co-morbidities, recurrent as compared to group outcomes. Regression coefficients showed that brain herniation, kidney liver disease, post-infarction cardiosclerosis, diabetes mellitus, atrial fibrillation associated outcome. Increased severity NIHSS mRS scores, specific blood tests values, age, heart rate probable outcome, while elevated hemoglobin, total protein, red cells, lymphocytes, GCS score, history hypotensive drug therapy less outcome.
 Multivariate was related creatinine bilirubin levels.
 Conclusion. detected predictors can be used reference points choose management strategy for stroke.
